Valve stem is not threaded. Self-tapping screw (provided) to ensure proper torque, easy installation, and excellent resistance to vibrational loosening.
Rubber Snap-In valves stems are made with ozone resistant EPDM rubber. EPDM Rubber lasts longer and is more resistant to oxidation, heat and cold than natural rubber.
